Welcome to Jeter Primary School!

Dear Jeter Primary School Families,

Welcome to Jeter Primary School! It is an honor and privilege to serve as your principal. As a lifelong resident of Opelika and the parent of two graduates of Opelika City Schools, I have great confidence in our school system and the opportunities it provides for every child. We are excited to partner with you as your child begins this important educational journey.

At Jeter Primary, our faculty and staff are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. Through a student-centered approach to teaching and learning, we focus on building strong foundational skills while fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.

Our instructional program provides rich learning experiences in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, health and safety, music, art, technology, character education, and physical education. Through hands-on, inquiry-based instruction and interdisciplinary learning opportunities, students actively engage in their education and make meaningful connections to the world around them.

At Jeter Primary, we are committed to educating every child, every day. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success, and we encourage families to become actively involved in their child's educational experience. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Helping in the media center
  • Listening to students read or reading to students
  • Supporting teachers and school activities
  • Participating in special events and programs

We also encourage you to become involved in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Your support, involvement, and partnership make a tremendous difference in the success of our students and school community.

Jeter Primary School operates from 7:40 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
